Just Do You...the Rest Will Take Care of Itself!

Everyday I encounter ladies (that's mostly who I work with) who are at that time in their life...creeping past 35...and wondering if they will ever live the fulfilling life of their dreams. For some it's fear, for others it's not having a clear compelling vision, and for others it's the absence of a plan.

My heart is heavy for a friend who has always been told she's not good enough, not smart enough and that she'll never amount to anything. Maybe one day she will see what I see. She has one of those personalities that brightens up a room. She's at ease talking to anyone. Hmmm...isn't that what Oprah does for a living????

Just goes to show that using your gift, not focusing on your faults, unlocks a life of joy and fulfillment. Just do you, 'cause I'm doing me!

Action & Accomplishment -- A Daily Action Plan!

The sudden passing of Michael Jackson (notwithstanding the ongoing battles with illness suffered by Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahon) was poignant reminder to me of just how quickly life can shift on us. My beloved Pamela (sister and friend) suffered something similar as Michael on October 30, 2008. Although she's still with us, she's not regained her cognitive faculties an on Tuesday it will have been 8 months!

It caused me to re-evaluate my enthusiastic pursuits of my own dreams and passions. My writing, my coaching, training program design, and event production. They deserve a daily dose of my attention.

But isn't it all too easy to become distracted as we're bombarded with life...

We put many labels on inaction...fear of failure, fear of success...but the truth is we can't see it DONE in our mind/spirit. We must have a vision because it opens the door to a belief in what's possible. This is where success happens first...our minds, what we think about.

For instance, if we know we need to clean the garage, but don't have a clear picture in our mind about how it will look. We should imagine how it will feel to pull our car and get out without dinging the doors. We should imagine how nice it will be to have things so organized that we can walk right to the cabinet or shelf to find the hammer or an extension cord. (Telling off on myself for having to dig through boxes to find things!)

Next, we give our vision life when we speak it. It doesn't have to be anything outrageously prophetic or eloquent. Just say it out loud. "Today, I will clean the garage and organize it. Shelves on this side for my sewing. A cabinet over here for my Soul Purpose inventory. More shelves for my cleaning supplies. A wardrobe here for my winter coats." Even if no one is there to hear. Just say it.

When we're blessed with a vision for how something should be...even an organized garage...it gets our juices going. We see it. We develop a plan. We know it can be done. THAT'S BELIEF!!! And, once we believe, it's as good as done. I remember staying up all night making a blouse or dress because I just had to see it done. There wasn't a question, "Could I?" It was pure confidence that I would do it and the necessary ACTION immediately followed to make it happen.

SEE it. SPEAK it. DO it. CELEBRATE it. Those are the steps to ensure you can live today and everyday in a place of ACTION & ACCOMPLISHMENT. Which means no regrets when life throws us a curve ball. At least we'll know the garage is clean!

What will you do TODAY fearlessly?

We'll miss you Michael, rest in peace. Thank you for the reminder to make each day count!

Who's Gonna Go!

What a beautiful Saturday morning! Just finished cleaning up the house a bit. Next on the agenda is doing some more shopping for my trip next weekend...my 7-day Mediterranean Cruise compliments of my Soul Purpose business. I am off-the-chain excited about the adventure and being able to check this off my "bucket list" but as I thought of it, I had a sudden pang of sadness. It took me by surprise and I thought...what's that all about???

It's about all of my business partners who will not be on the ship with me! We started the journey together...saw and embraced the vision of Soul Purpose. We had the same visions of success and the thrill of being the first to introduce Soul Purpose in our local markets. Yet, so many are not making consistent progress in growing their business. That does sadden me. But I can only let it sadden me for a moment and use it to grow. As my friend (CEO of Soul Purpose), Nadine Thompson always says, "What is the lesson I'm supposed to learn from this?"

The lesson is...I don't have control over what other people do or don't do. I can only control what I do. This is such a brilliant opportunity and it's hard for me to understand how anyone can see it but not take advantage of it. I know many of us have prayed for being able to live a debt-free life or having our own business or being able to empower others. But recognizing the blessing to be FIRST with a ground floor opportunity with the wonderful natural products we have and the ability to make outrageous money, that's a very individual thing. I wish everyone could get it but that's just not realistic.

The outcome..I can just continue to pray that the RIGHT people who are READY to be EMPOWERED will come along. That they will be COACHABLE, ACTION-ORIENTED and PASSIONATE! And when they show up, I'll be ready to coach, train and mentor...that's what I can do.

But the question is what blessing are you sitting on? Are you moving forward to do your part to take the blessing to it's highest heights? Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not promised. Get busy, it's what you do this moment that counts!

NO SWINE FLU FOR YOU

I trust that all my BF (blog friends) are taking precautions regarding the swing flu. Please be careful around anyone with flu like symptoms. Wash your hands frequently with an antibacterial cleanser especially after shaking hands or making contact with others. Lastly I recommend a wonderful new chocolate wellness product on the market thanks to the Soul Purpose partnership with Youngevity International. , Tru Liquid Chocolate & Tru Chocolate wafers. Both are natural, organic, high in antioxidants and other nutrients to support a healthy immune system SO THAT YOU GET SICK LESS OFTEN!

The liquid is packed with antioxidants for an ORAC value that's off the charts!! Beating similar products on the market hands down. View the full presentation. Then email me or call me today: Cherylcormier@soulpurpose.com.

If you're already feeling sick. Take the appropriate steps to prevent passing it on. Stay home. Call your doctor and get well. We need you.

As always, stay true to your Soul Purpose and live life on purpose!

Cruising the Mediterranean!

WOW! It has always been a dream of mine to go to Italy and in less than 30 days...I will! While I've traveled to practically every state in the US and even the Caribbean, this will be my first trip abroad. On May 9th, I'm flying to Barcelona and will be on a Mediterranean Cruise for 7 wonderful days. With scheduled stops in Rome, Florence, and Naples, I am over the moon excited!!!

I've always KNOWN on some level that I would get to make a trip like this. But to win an ALL EXPENSES PAID 7-day cruise just for building my Soul Purpose business, that's really incredible. For those of you who are my business partners in Soul Purpose, this is the type of extra benefits that await you in your journey. If you're considering Soul Purpose, I, Cheryl Cormier, promise you that the sky is the limit and I'll be here to support you every step of the way.

While on my Mediterranean cruise next month, I will use mobile blogging to share the experience with all of my business partners and friends who are not on the ship with us. Please check back often. I hope we will take our next award trip together!!!

Your cruising sister!

Get your SHEwagger ON!!!!

I woke this morning with the sun beaming through the windows as it bounced off the pond behind my home. (Yesterday, it was the sound of thunder and bolts of lightening ripping through the sky!!!) And, I thought..."God! What a beautiful day!"

Despite my ongoing issues dealing with my sister, the fact that I didn't get back to Orlando with enough time to do my taxes (thank God for "automatic extensions") or the fact that my plumbing in the master bath is backing up all over the place...I'M EXCITED!!! One because I know that God has my back and that he made me just so he could love me. And, he made everything around me just so that I can exist and live life abundantly.

That gives me SHEwagger! The confident walk and talk. The confidence in my ability to do that which I am passionately committed to do. SHEwagger is about being a confident woman without apologies for my success, my beauty, or my brains. SHEwagger is about being a woman...sensitive, sensual, and spiritual all while being confident to have, speak and follow MY OWN MIND! I take dominion over my surroundings and circumstances.

I listened intently to a training with a powerful woman/entrepreneur Gloria Mayfield Banks as she addressed the Soul Purpose community. (Gloria is an internationally acclaimed motivator/speaker/trainer who has earned MILLIONS with Mary Kay! And shes done it all with CONFIDENCE!) She reminded me that confidence is the backbone of success. So, I woke this morning with the inspiration of "ANEW" terminology...SHEwagger.

I will be all that I am intended to be! What's your SHEwagger??? Comment and share the ways that you exude confidence and present your SHEwagger to the world!!!!

With your success in mind,
Cheryl

Crisis & Opportunity

It's been a long time since I've blogged and I've missed communicating with you. As much as it is a joy to share with you, it's actually therapeutic for me to reflect and collect my thoughts. My life continues to be hectic as I try to create some balance between building my Soul Purpose business, managing my sister's health care and family issues and trying to have a personal life. Yeah, right!

I recently learned that the Chinese symbol for CRISIS and OPPORTUNITY is the same. That made me think about the recent challenges I've been facing in my own life. While this CRISIS of my sister's health care has shaken my family to the core, I am challenging myself to discover the OPPORTUNITY that this crisis presents. I know that I'm learning a lot...

Let me tell you that the health care industry is a TRIP!!!! There is so much they don't tell you and you have to stumble upon it by yourself. So, here's just some of the things that I've learned in the last 5 months...

1. Check your health insurance policy to ensure that it provides for long-term disability. You never know what can happen and if you become permanently disabled, you'll want the coverage from your insurance company whether you have to stay in a hospital or skilled nursing facility on a long-term basis. If you or your loved one can be cared for at home, you'll want to ensure that your coverage provides for a HOME CARE PROVIDER. This is someone who will come to the home to provide assistance with bathing and other patient care.

2. Set up a living TRUST. Do it NOW!!!! By having a trust, everything can transition smoothly to whomever is designated without having to hire attorneys or going to court. Put everything you own into the TRUST, name an executor who from day one will be able to begin handling your personal and financial affairs for you. Without this??? No one will have access to your bank accounts or even be able to access information on your insurance. A Power of Attorney is nice to have, but the moment someone transitions, it becomes null and void...sending everything back into the hands of the court. My recommendation....a TRUST. Do it NOW!

3. Immediately when a major illness occurs, contact your Social Security regarding disability. Being approved for disability is a requirement for filing for Medicaid or Medicare. Also, please know that for anyone less than 65 years of age, you cannot get Medicare assistance until you've been DISABLED FOR 24 MONTHS!!! Yes, 2 years. What do they expect you to live on or be cared for for 24 month...but that's our government! YIKES.

4. Sit with the family and make a plan for who will do what. Between taking care of my sister's finances for her daycare center and interacting with doctors, nurses, insurance, care providers, etc., my head is about to explode. But God is good and everyday, I am thankful for what he provides each day. Be sure to share the responsibility so that you do not get burned out.

Finally, I must say that I am so grateful for my Soul Purpose business. My commissions are over $3000 month and will enable me to contribute to my sister's health care as needed. I'm committed to continue to grow it...I can't wait to hit $10,000 a month!!! I'll be able to pay off my bills and help the family. That, to me, is what network marketing and creating a residual income is all about...building wealth. I don't want this blog to be an ad, but if you want more information just go to my site http://anew.soulpurpose.net or call me at 321-217-3912. I'll be happy to tell you more!

Until next time, enjoy every precious moment life presents. If there's something you don't like about your life, do something to change it.

With your success in mind,
Cheryl A. Cormier

Cheddar or Swiss

Good afternoon. I'm blogging from my sister's hospital bedside and was thinking about the fact that I chose to live in California and now Florida for the past 30 years...away from my family who are 95% in Houston, Texas. It saddens me to think of all the time that I was not here to physically share the day-to-day life experiences with her. To think of the things we would have done together? Have lunch or dinner. Renting "chick flick" movies and watch them together. I won't dwell on it and feel guilty for living my own life, but I do feel that I missed some opportunities.

That started me thinking about other aspects of life. What are those things that I wanted to do, that I haven't done yet. I guess I should make my own "Bucket List" (If you haven't seen the movie, I recommend it.). List the places I want to visit, the things I want to do, the dreams I want to build.

From this point on, I will work on seizing the best at all times and not allow opportunities to slip through the swiss cheese holes that exist my life. So, I plan to plug those holes and get sharp like cheddar. I'll get more focused and use my time more wisely. It's time for a paradigm shift!!!

Maybe then, the real riches of life...friendships, family and finances will show up more abundantly in my life.

The Pot Won't Leak

Tonight I sit with my brother enjoying his company and a movie. It's something we don't get to do often. Interestingly, as soon as the movie was over, my mind began it's racing act. I began thinking of all I have to do...for Soul Purpose...for my team...for my mother, sister, nephew, etc...and I could feel my pulse began to race. No doubt you've felt it before too.

Where do you start and how do you balance all that's on your plate. Me? I make lists. Once I see it all laid out, it's much easier to prioritize. I look for the 5 most important tasks to get done and DO THEM without deviation or distraction. Then if time permits, I go to the next 5 and so on. You won't forget anything. You won't miss anything important. It's like knowing that when you put on a pot of water to boil. You have confidence that the pot won't leak. It will hold the water. You don't have to stand there and watch it' just let it do its thing. That's the beauty of a system and structure.

While my dear friend Terri teases me about being a bit anal but I have found that it works for me. Order and structure gives me comfort that things are getting done (I won't lose or forget anything) and that gives me the peace of mind I need to be able to take time for me.

Tomorrow's another day but right now is ME TIME! So, I going to light a my Zanzibar Girls Club candle, soak in a sumptuous bubble bath and luxuriate my skin with our new "sugar-shea" body scrub!

Obviously this is a work in progress, but practice makes perfect, right? What's your secret to being able to achieve a state of total relaxation?

Change is up to US!!

As I watched the inaugural events of the day, I was inspired, moved, overjoyed and blessed to witness such a day as this. I want to thank some powerful women in Houston, Texas...Kenyatta, Lessie, Leslie, Onecia & Marcie...for their gracious invitation and awesome INAUGURAL DAY BRUNCH!

Regardless of your vantage point, know that the torch has been passed...not just to President Obama...but to each of us. As we let the historical value of today's events soak in, let's remember that CHANGE IS UP TO US.

Change for our collective wellness as a community.
Change for our state of emotional & physical wellness.
Change for our state of emotional health.
Change for the level of our business success.
Change for our state of financial wellbeing.

Although our first instinct is to resist change, we can choose to embrace this as it is...an opportunity to LIVE the life of our dreams. Let's choose CHANGE!!!

Through this blog and/or the our businesss partnership in SOUL PURPOSE, I look forward to seeing the power of CHANGE and how it manifests itself in your life.

A New Paradigm in 2009!
