Action & Accomplishment -- A Daily Action Plan!

The sudden passing of Michael Jackson (notwithstanding the ongoing battles with illness suffered by Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahon) was poignant reminder to me of just how quickly life can shift on us. My beloved Pamela (sister and friend) suffered something similar as Michael on October 30, 2008. Although she's still with us, she's not regained her cognitive faculties an on Tuesday it will have been 8 months!

It caused me to re-evaluate my enthusiastic pursuits of my own dreams and passions. My writing, my coaching, training program design, and event production. They deserve a daily dose of my attention.

But isn't it all too easy to become distracted as we're bombarded with life...

We put many labels on inaction...fear of failure, fear of success...but the truth is we can't see it DONE in our mind/spirit. We must have a vision because it opens the door to a belief in what's possible. This is where success happens first...our minds, what we think about.

For instance, if we know we need to clean the garage, but don't have a clear picture in our mind about how it will look. We should imagine how it will feel to pull our car and get out without dinging the doors. We should imagine how nice it will be to have things so organized that we can walk right to the cabinet or shelf to find the hammer or an extension cord. (Telling off on myself for having to dig through boxes to find things!)

Next, we give our vision life when we speak it. It doesn't have to be anything outrageously prophetic or eloquent. Just say it out loud. "Today, I will clean the garage and organize it. Shelves on this side for my sewing. A cabinet over here for my Soul Purpose inventory. More shelves for my cleaning supplies. A wardrobe here for my winter coats." Even if no one is there to hear. Just say it.

When we're blessed with a vision for how something should be...even an organized garage...it gets our juices going. We see it. We develop a plan. We know it can be done. THAT'S BELIEF!!! And, once we believe, it's as good as done. I remember staying up all night making a blouse or dress because I just had to see it done. There wasn't a question, "Could I?" It was pure confidence that I would do it and the necessary ACTION immediately followed to make it happen.

SEE it. SPEAK it. DO it. CELEBRATE it. Those are the steps to ensure you can live today and everyday in a place of ACTION & ACCOMPLISHMENT. Which means no regrets when life throws us a curve ball. At least we'll know the garage is clean!

What will you do TODAY fearlessly?

We'll miss you Michael, rest in peace. Thank you for the reminder to make each day count!
